Calligraphy Cut is a hairdressing tool and technique introduced in Europe more than 20 years ago. Calligraphy Cut allows hairdressers to create textured, volumized hairstyles for clients with a razor-sharp pen-shaped tool. Frank Brormann, inventor of the technique, is traveling from Germany to Knoxville at the end of the month to launch Calligraphy Cut in America. Visage Advanced Hair Academy, which teaches advanced styling techniques, will host dozens of the beauty industry’s top salon owners and hairdressers for a hands-on seminar with Brormann. “These industry giants want to be among the first to bring Calligraphy Cut to their markets,” said Frank Gambuzza, co-owner of Visage Advanced Hair Academy and The Visage Group. “Calligraphy Cut was shown in New York, then Frank Brormann was here in October. The response was huge, which is how this event came to be.” The event has two parts: a meet and greet reception at the home of Frank and Belinda Gambuzza on Monday night, January 26, and the seminar at VAHA on Tuesday, January 27. “Frank will do two haircuts to show the tool/technique, we will then have lunch take our guests on a tour of Frank’s Barbershop, then return for a hands on session for all our guests to do a Calligraphy cut themselves,” Gambuzza said. “It’s going to be an amazing experience.” For more information about VAHA, visit www.visageadvacedhairacademy.com. ]]>
